As well as treating heroin or methadone addiction we also treat people suffering from alcoholism and other addictions, including cannabis, cocaine and gambling. We have developed specialist knowledge on how best to attain the best possible outcomes using and combination of medication, including antagonsit implants, and psychological treatments. Our staff are highly qualified and experienced in this specialist area and other professionals often regard addiction and the patient group as being too difficult.

Research and Innovation
While others have given up treating people addicted to drugs and merely try to reduce harm Addiction Treatment and Psychology Services (PSYCH N SOUL) has developed new techniques and used the most advanced knowledge and products to help people become free of addiction. To ensure best practice we are continually improving the way we do things by reviewing our methods, welcoming scrutiny and conducting research which has been published. Research includes comparing oral to implant naltrexone over 12 months showing much better outcomes compared to conventional treatment programs

Compliance
As well as being innovative Addiction Treatment and Psychology Services (PSYCH N SOUL) also adheres to Dept of Health and Pharmaceutical Agency regulations and guidelines. Rapid Opiate Detoxification (ROD) is conducted according to published Dept of Health guidelines to ensure safety, effectiveness and high completion rates. Medication, including heroin-blocking implants are used in compliance with Australian laws. The clinic is presenting applying for a License to continue to do RODs under new reguiatlions introduced in 2010.

We at Addiction Treatment and Psychology Services (PSYCH N SOUL) realise that while addictions might look the same everyone is different. We have also found that individual assessment, treatment planning and counselling is most effective in maximising results. People seek our service because they want to get well and be free of drug addiction. By treating people with respect and dignity and listening to what they want we help them achieve this goal.

Cost and Availability
Over the years we have been able to reduce the cost of medication and treatment to provide greater accessibility to our program. We also work with a the Addiction Treatment Foundation to provide subsidies for treatment for eligible people. The Foundation has received Government funding to support the counselling program.

Our Aim is to Provide Effective, Safe, Individualised and Economical Treatment. This has always been our Primary Aim and we continue to Strive to Achieve this in all our Work.
